Update: Romania’s tax agency postpones publishing invidiual debtors' list online

UPDATE: Romania’s tax agency ANAF has decided to postpone publishing online the list of individuals who are late with paying their taxes to the state. However, ANAF published the list of big and medium companies that had unpaid debt to the state budget at the end of March this year. The Agency was supposed to publish the lists of both individual and company debtors on its website on May 3, but then postponed it because people started to pay their taxes and became more interested in clarifying their situation, reports local Digi24. The tax agency published on Tuesday a list of over 2,600 big and medium companies with tax debt and said it would also release the individual debtors' list in the following days, after updating it to remove all those who pay their taxes in the meantime. The list would include the names of all individuals with debts over RON 1,500 (EUR 336), medium taxpayers with debts exceeding RON 50,000 (some EUR 11,100), and large taxpayers with debts over RON 100,000 (EUR 22,300). Those with incomes from individual activities would appear on ANAF’s list if their debts go over RON 10,000 (some EUR 2,200).
