Romania signs EUR 10 bln of infrastructure investments agreements, mostly EU funds

Agreements worth EUR 10 billion, most of them on EU money, have been already signed for the infrastructure works, including speedways building due to be finished across Romania in 2011, Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc has said. 'At the moment, the implementation of the signed agreements and projects worth EUR 10 billion is in progress throughout Romania. Most of it is EU money,' PM Boc told the public television on Monday. Romania's PM said that roads and motorways linking places like Arad Timisoara (west), Cenavoda-Medgidia (south-east), Medgidia-Constanta (south- east), the Arad belt road (west) and Constanta ring road (south-east) will be finished in 2011. 'The works at the EU-funded speedways of the Corridor IV will also start, while on segments such as Nadlac-Arad, Timisoara-Lugoj, Lugoj-Sibiu works are already under way. And the Oradea, Suceava and Cluj belt roads will be also finished,' PM Boc added, during his interview with the Romanian public television TVR1. AGERPRES
