The volume of retail trade increased by 5% year-on-year in Romania in September, the fourth largest increase in the EU, according to recent data from Eurostat. In the euro area, the increase was of 0.6%, while in the EU28 the growth was of 1%. The highest increases in total retail trade were registered in Luxembourg – plus 12.3%, Estonia – plus 9.1%, Bulgaria – plus 5.6% and Romania – plus 5%, while Finland, Poland, Denmark and Germany posted the largest decreases.
