Romania’s Interior Ministry wants to buy cars worth over EUR 260 mln

The Romanian Ministry of Interior, through the Integrated Logistics Directorate, wants to buy cars worth up to RON 1.24 billion (some EUR 265.14 million), according to an announcement published on the public auction website, quoted by local Economica.net. The auction is divided into 14 lots and targets different vehicles, such as 4x2, 4x4 cars with gasoline and diesel engines, 8+1 passenger cars, 16+1 minibuses, and vans. However, the ministry doesn’t say in the tender announcement how many vehicles it intends to purchase. All bids can be submitted by February 15, and the financial assessment will be completed on May 15. The award criterion will be the best value for money.
