Romania gets EUR 1.2 mln in Structural and Cohesion Funds in February

Romania has received over EUR 1.2 million in Structural and Cohesion Funds in February 2014, according to the Minister of European Funds, Eugen Teodorovici. “All these records registered in February, EUR 830 million in European Funds in one day - February 20, and another EUR 304.6 million the next day, February 21, were due to the measures adopted by the Government of Romania in 2013, a good year in terms of fund absorption,” added Teodorovici. Moreover, according to the Minister, in early-March this year, Romania received another EUR 55 million from the European Commission. The Minister of European Funds’ statements were made during the annual reunion of the Management Authorities for the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development (POS DRU) and Operational Programme Administrative Capacity Development (PODCA), according to the Ministry of European Funds' statement.
