Romania exports more food products in H1

Romania exported food products worth over EUR 2 billion in the first half of this year, up some 10% year-on-year, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development MADR, cited by local Agerpres. Imports went slightly up to EUR 2.32 billion. The trade balance with food products was of EUR 295.3 million in the first half of 2014, down 34.5% compared to the value registered in the same period the previous year, of EUR 450.5 million. The main product exported in this period is the corn. The quantity delivered was nearly 66% above the previous year, while the revenues increased to EUR 328.6 million.
