Romania’s National Housing Agency (ANL) will build 7,000 houses for rent for young people in the next five years. The project will cost EUR 250 million and 75% of this amount will be financed through a loan agreed with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB). The Romanian state will contribute with EUR 75 million. The loan is based on a memorandum between Romania and the Council of Europe Development Bank approved in November last year and has a maturity of 20 years. The project’s beneficiaries are young people aged up to 35. They will have the possibility to later acquire the homes at a reasonable price. editor@romania-insider.com
