Romania ranked fourth in the European Union for the increase in construction work in July this year compared to the same month in 2015, with a growth rate of 2.9%. At EU level, construction work went up by 1% in July whereas the annual growth amounted to 3.1% in the Eurozone. The highest increases were recorded in Spain (12%), Sweden (10%), France (3.3%), and Romania (2.9%). Slovakia saw the steepest decline, of -23.3%. It was followed by Hungary (-17.6%), and Poland (-15.1%). In July, Romania recorded an advance of 0.7% compared to the previous month, after a monthly decline of -1.3% in June. editor@romania-insider.com
