Number of residential building permits goes up in Romania

The number of building permits for housing increased by 3.3% in the first seven months compared to the same period last year, reaching over 22,000. In five of Romania’s regions, the number of building permits went up in this period. The highest increase was recorded in the South-East region. The number dropped in three regions, however, including the Bucharest-Ilfov region. In July, the number of building permits rose by 4.3% compared to July 2014, reaching over 4,000, but dropped by 3.5% compared to June. More than half of these 4,000 building permits were issued in rural areas. editor@romania-insider.com
