Raiffeisen Bank plans to issue EUR 1.5 billion worth of medium term notes in the following years, both in Romanian currency and in foreign currencies, according to the bank's representatives. This project is still in an incipient phase and will be submitted for shareholder approval. Raiffeisen Bank posted a net profit of EUR 83 million last year, up 12 percent compared to the previous year’s profit of EUR 74 million. This was largely the result of reduction in provision expenses, from EUR 88 million in 2009 to EUR 48 million in 2010. editor@romania-insider.com
