Romanian electro-IT retailer QuickMobile opens two new stores with EUR 0.1 mln investment

Romanian electro-It retailer QuickMobile has invested EUR 100,000 in two new stores, according to a company statement. One of the stores is located in Iulius Mall in Suceava and was inaugurated on June 18, and the other one will be opened in City Park in Constanta on July 2. Both units cover some 40 sqm and sell phones, tablets, accessories, and other gadgets. “With the opening of the two new physical stores, we come to meet all those who want to have the latest tech products shortly after their launch. From our experience so far, the mobile phones and their accessories will be the most sold products in the new units, followed by tablets and other gadgets such as smartwatches and fitness bracelets,” said Tudor Tiboc, general manager QuickMobile. Company representatives expect the average purchase to stay around RON 800 (some EUR 175) in the new store in Suceava and RON 1,000 (EUR 220) in the one located in Constanta seaside resort. Besides the two new units, QuickMobile also runs stores in Bucharest, Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara, and Sighetu Marmatiei. The retailer plans to open six new units this year, in franchising system, in Sibiu, Brasov, Oradea, Pitesti, Ploiesti, and Targu Mures. Via the online shop, QuickMobile delivers its products throughout the country. Moreover, its QuickMobileShop.com website launched in 2015 operates orders in all EU Member States. Electro Distribution SRL, the firm that holds the QuickMobile brand had EUR 27.2 million sales in 2015, 38% lower compared to 2014, according to official data from the Finance Ministry.
