Public procurement to be carried out online in Romania by 2018

All public procurement needs to be carried out online by 2018, said yesterday Bogdan Puscas, president of the National Public Procurement Agency (ANAP). The authorities have two years to transfer all tender procedures to the online environment, reports local Agerpres. The current online system for public procurement is called SEAP. It will be replaced with the new electronic system SICAP. Puscas said that the new system will represent a real upgrade, and not only a formal change. Bogdan Puscas met yesterday with the public procurement representatives in six counties in the Central Region.
