Private healthcare operator invests EUR 2 mln to expand network in Romania

Private healthcare operator Medicover will invest EUR 2 million this year to expand its network. It will open two new clinics in Ploiesti and Brasov by December 1. The company also plans to increase its turnover by 20% this year from EUR 50 million in 2014, reports local Wall-street.ro. The operator has opened another clinic in Timisoara in 2015, following an investment of EUR 600,000. “We have budgeted for this year investments of EUR 4 million, EUR 2 million of which will be destined to expand our network,” said Adrian Peake, Medicover country manager. The company will also invest several hundred thousand euros to expand a clinic in Bucharest. Swedish group Medicover, which is one of the biggest healthcare services operators in Central and Eastern Europe, has 16 clinics in Bucharest and Romania’s biggest cities, and a hospital.
