Polish group INC will launch Carpathia Capital, a fund of some RON 6 million (EUR 1.3 million) which will invest in Romanian startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), reports local Wall-street.ro. The fund targets companies which aim for listing on Bucharest Stock Exchange’s AeRO market. INC’s first investment amounts to some EUR 150,000 and will most likely target a local IT company. Since 2006, INC has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The group supports the development of SMEs. Irina Popescu, irina.popescu@romania-insider.com
