Poetry Festival brings more than 100 poets from 23 countries to Bucharest this May
The seventh edition of the Bucharest International Poetry Festival (FIPB) will bring more than 100 poets from 23 countries to Romania’s capital between May 18 and May 22.

The seventh edition of the Bucharest International Poetry Festival (FIPB) will bring more than 100 poets from 23 countries to Romania’s capital between May 18 and May 22.
The festival’s program includes more than 20 events such as public lectures, roundtables, workshops, and performances, according to the National Museum of Romanian Literature, the event's organizer.
Some of the international poets to attend the event are Ko Un (Korea), Marilar Aleixandre (Spain), Menna Elfyn (UK), Catharina Gripenberg (Finland), Tomasz Mielcarek (Poland), Alvin Pang (Singapore), Anastassis Vistonitis (Greece), and Yang Lian (China).
The Romanian poetry will be represented by a large number of authors, from all generations, such as Matei Visniec, Andrei Muresan, Dinu Flamand, Denisa Comanescu, Ioana Craciunescu, Magda Carneci, Eugen Suciu, Gabriel Chifu, and Simona Popescu.
The musical recitals will be performed by Mircea Tiberian (piano), Nadia Trohin (voice), Anita Petruescu (voice), Ana-Cristina Leonte (voice), Tavi Scurtu (electronics and percussion), Iordache (saxophone), and Dan Mitrofan (guitar).
The Bucharest International Poetry Festival was launched in 2010.
