Egyptian group Pico Group wants to expand in Romania

Romanian business environment minister Ilan Laufer met in Egypt with Tawfik Diab, president of Pico Group, one of the largest Egyptian private companies, to discuss the current stage of Pico Group's investments and "expansion prospects" on the market in Romania. Pico Group, founded in 1974, is active in agriculture, oil and gas and industrial equipment. The Egyptian group entered Romania in 2013 via two companies operating in the field of hydrocarbon reserve capitalization. Ilan Laufer is on a three-day visit to Egypt. He also met with Sahar Nasr, the Minister of International Investment and Cooperation. Romania’s exports to Egypt reached USD 378 million in the first nine months of this year.
