Over half of Romanians believe 2015 will be a better year for Romania

Romanians are optimistic about 2015, with over half of them saying that next year will be a better year for Romania than 2014, according to a recent IRES report. Just over a third of Romanians say they are satisfied with the way they live, but 65% say they are not satisfied. Over 40% believe they will live better in a year, the report reveals. In Romanians’ opinion, 2014 was comparable with 2013 for Romania: 31% believe 2014 was better, 30% say it was worse and 36% think the two years were similar. When it comes to 2015, 58% of Romanians believe this year will be a better year for Romania than 2014, and only 9% think it will be worse. The report also reveals that the lack of jobs remained the main concern this year, followed by the political crisis (15%), the imminence of a disease (15%), rising prices (13%), job insecurity (10%), lower income (7%), lack of perspective (6%) and loneliness (3%).
