Over 80,000 cars in Romania have GPS navigation systems, growth expected in 2013

The GPS navigation systems are estimated to be used in 80,000 cars in Romania, from the total of around two million cars registered by the companies, according to the cloud computing company Ymens. The market has grown for four years in a row on this segment and the number of customers is expected to keep increasing in 2013. Ymens, in partnership with software developer AROBS, has recently launched a new cloud solution for companies, made for online monitoring and cars administration. The solution, namely Autolog, provides full data on positioning, at a street level, in over 1,300 cities and 63,000 points of interest for Romania. Ymens, which offers cloud solutions for small and medium enterprises, was created by TeamNet Group, which invested EUR 1 million in its development. The platform was launched in June 2010 under the initiative of Bogdan Padiu, a Romanian entrepreneur in the IT sector and one of the founders of TeamNet.
