Over 20 mln ballots to be printed for the second round of the Presidential elections in Romania

The Official Gazette will print 20.9 million ballots for the second round of the Presidential elections to be organized in Romania on November 16. Of the total, 800,000 ballots will be sent to polling stations abroad, according to a statement of the Government, cited by local Mediafax. "According to the application submitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 400 more vote stamps marked will be made for polling stations abroad," reads the statement. There are 18.3 million Romanians registered on the electoral lists, according to the Permanent Electoral Authority. More than 9.72 million Romanians voted in the first round of the presidential elections, on November 2. About 160,000 Romanians voted abroad, but a few thousand people didn’t get to vote in spite of queuing for hours at the voting wards, in some large European cities, such as London, Paris, Munich, Vienna or Rome.
