Romania’s car fleet reached some 6.27 million units at the end of 2014, up 4.77% year-on-year, according to data from the Directorate for Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registration DRPCIV. In 2013, Romania’s car fleet totaled 5.98 million units. About 1.1 million cars were older than 20 years while over 1.5 million were between 11 and 15 years old. Some 1.9 million were between 6 and 10 years old and only 197,000 were less than 2 years old, reports local Capital.ro. About 3.1 million were gasoline cars and some 1.7 million were diesel cars.
