Osho opens new restaurant in Bucharest’s Old Town with EUR 300,000 investment

Romanian restaurant Osho, owned by Greek businessman Giorgios Malideros, has opened a new unit in Bucharest’s Old Town, following an investment of EUR 300,000. The new restaurant is called Oro Toro by Osho. It has a capacity of 120 seats and will also serve “in house” matured beef, but in a new concept, as a pub, according to a statement of the restaurant chain. “The menu is varied and includes salads, burgers, fresh or matured beef steak, as well as garnishes and deserts,“ said Giorgos Malideros, Osho's owner. He added that he expects the average value of a bill in the new restaurant to be some RON 60 (EUR 13.5), compared to some RON 150 (EUR 33.8) in the Osho restaurant. Osho’s management estimates a turnover of EUR 1 million for 2015. The Osho restaurant is one of the premium steak houses in Bucharest. The restaurant is expected to reach EUR 2 million in sales this year. At the end of 2013, the Malideros family took over the two Osho restaurants in Bucharest from Romanian businessman Florin Radulescu. One of the restaurants, Osho Fish, was renamed Retsina.
