Only 0.1% of all online orders in Romania are fraud attempts

Last year, only 0.1% of all online orders in Romania were fraud attempts, which confirms the strong downward trend of this phenomenon in the recent years, according to a study by PayU Romania. The total amount of frauds detected by the PayU team last year reached some EUR 550,000, reports local Wall-street.ro. Only 36% of Romanians are worried about online payment security, a 70% are confident that they can protect themselves online, according to a Eurobarometer. Online payment security was one of the most important factors that helped develop the online retail in Romania in the last years.
