Number of constructions up by 7% in Romania

The number of dwellings built in Romania increased by 7% in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period in 2013, reaching 28,555 units, according to the National Institute of Statistics. Most dwellings were built in urban areas, namely 51.7%, in the third quarter of the year. The number of dwellings built with private funds increased by 2,634 units in the first nine months, while the number of those from public funds decreased by 733 units. T he number of completed dwellings between January and September increased in the Bucharest - Ilfov region by 2,204 homes and in the North-West region by 1,328. Decreases were recorded in the North-East region (519), South-Muntenia (428), South-East region (351), South-West Oltenia (177), West (79) and Central (16). editor@romania-insider.com
