Norwegian Computas buys Romanian company from investor Florin Talpes

Norwegian consultancy and IT services company IT Computas took over 84 percent of the Romanian company Ascenta IT Services, owned by Romanian entrepreneur Florin Talpes. The two companies had been working together for years. Ascenta, which was initially part of the Softwin group, became a separate company in 2006. The company had a turnover of around EUR 5.4 million in 2011 and a profit of some EUR 1.3 million, according to Computas. The company did not announce the value of the transaction. The acquisition of Ascenta is strategic for the Norwegian company, as it opens up an interesting market in the EU, said its CEO, Trond Eilertsen (in picture). Computas provides services and solutions for business processes and collaboration, focusing on software development, architecture and integration, project management and consulting.
