NN Romania’s life insurance wing appoints Pole as new GM

Life insurance company NN Asigurari de Viata has appointed Anna Grzelonska as CEO starting July 1. Grzelonska is currently Chief Operating Officer and Board Member at Nationale-Nederlanden Polska. Before she takes over the office, she needs to get the approval of the Financial Supervisory Authority. Grzelonska will replace Marius Popescu who was appointed general director of NN Hayat ve Emeklilik Turkey starting April 1. The new Romania GM has been part of the NN team since 2008, occupying the position of Marketing Services and Communications Director. She had responsibilities in the commercial area until 2014 when she was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Nationale Nederlanden in Poland. NN announced that 2016 was its best year in the last decade, with gross written premiums of EUR 144.8 million and total assets of over EUR 2.6 billion in the private pension segment. The insurer recorded a gross profit of EUR 6.5 million last year, up 31.1% year-on-year. editor@romania-insider.com
