New heat wave takes over Romania this week

A new heat wave will take over Romania this week, temperatures of up to 37 degrees Celsius being expected in the country starting today, August 12. According to Romania’s Meteorological Association (ANM), between August 12 and August 14, there will be a wave of heat that will gradually take over the entire country. In some parts of the country, the temperatures will go up to 36-37 degrees Celsius. The heat will persist in Romania until the end of this week, according to the weather forecast. Depending on its progress, ANM is to update the information. According to local news agency Mediafax, 20 tents with air conditioning, water and medical equipment were set in several areas of Bucharest. In this period, doctors recommend people to avoid going out between 10:00 and 18:00, to drink lots of water, eat fruits and vegetables, and avoid drinking alcohol or coffee.
