Martin Harris, the newly- appointed British ambassador to Romania, said UK supports Romania's agreement with the IMF, adding this program should continue as it represents a positive signal sent to foreign investors. Harris, who held the first press conference Thursday after taking office in August, mentioned the UK Government has a similar problem to Romania's, which is reducing the budget deficit. Harris will make his mandate's priority out of increasing the trade between Romania and UK. The ambassador has embarked on a four-year mandate in Romania, replacing former ambassador Robin Barnett. romania-insider.com
