Net investments in the national economy exceeded EUR 2.84 billion in the first three months of the year, up 7.5% compared to the first quarter of 2015, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS). The investment for acquiring machinery and transport equipment rose by 16.1% year-on-year amounting to EUR 1.4 billion. The new construction work saw investments of EUR 1 billion during this period, down 0.9% compared to the first three months of 2015. editor@romania-insider.com
