South African fund NEPI will invest EUR 6 million to reconfigure and renovate Aurora mall in Buzau, Romania, acquired this summer from businessman Dan Ostahie. Along with the mall, NEPI also bought another project in Alba Iulia, in a transaction worth EUR 10 million. “NEPI acquired Aurora Shopping Mall and a commercial center with an area of 3,200 sqm for some EUR 10 million in a combined acquisition. (…) NEPI intends to reconfigure and renovate the mall, including the construction of a cinema, an investment that amounts to about EUR 6 million,” reads a report NEPI sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange BVB. The mall in Buzau opened in 2008 after an investment of EUR 25 million. Irina Popescu, irina.popescu@romania-insider.com
