More than EUR 12 mln spent at vending machines in Romania

Romanians spent last year some EUR 12.8 million (without VAT) at vending machines, EUR 4.7 million of which to buy coffee. The market grew by 4.4% in 2014 compared to the previous year, according to market research company Euromonitor, and it will increase by up to 8.8% in the next years, reports local Economica.net. In 2015, the market will rise by 6.2% over 2014, and it 2016 will go up by 8.8% over 2015. In 2018, Romanians will spend about EUR 1.73 million at vending machines. Between 2013 and 2018, the market will increase by 40.7%. The vending machines that sell hot drinks had sales of EUR 4.7 million last year, above EUR 4.4 million in 2013 or EUR 4.1 million in 2012. editor@romania-insider.com
