Registrations of Romanian Dacia in France increased by 18.9% in the first eight months of 2014, compared to the same period the previous year, to 74,688 units. The French car market increased by 1.3% year-on-year to some 1.43 million vehicles sold, according to data from the French Automobile Manufacturers Association (CCFA), cited by local Mediafax. Dacia’s market share in France increased to 5.25%, from 4.47% in the first eight months of 2013. Lancia and Jeep registered higher sales increases than Dacia in the first eight months of 2014, of 69.4% and 26.6% respectively. Renault Group registered a 8.3% increase in sales in France.
