More passenger transport cars registered in Romania

New registrations of road vehicles for passenger transport increased in the first quarter of 2015 by 14.7% year-on-year, reaching some 70,600 units. Meanwhile, new registrations of road vehicles for the transport of goods rose by 9.6% to 21,400 units, according to the National Institute of Statistics. Compared to the previous quarter, new registrations of road vehicles for passenger transport dropped by 12.5%, whereas the ones for the transport of goods increased by 0.6%. Car registrations went up by 14.7% in the first quarter of the year compared to the first three months of 2014, reaching 69,156 units. Moped and motorcycle registrations decreased by 8.7% year-on-year, whereas the bus and minibus registrations dropped by 6%. editor@romania-insider.com
