Minister: Pensions to increase by 5% in Romania from 2015

Pensions in Romania will increase by 5% from January 1, 2015, according to Romanian Labour Minister Rovana Plumb. The Finance and Labour Ministries are also currently working on a measure by which small pensions might also be increased next year. “We will continue with reparatory measures and I communicate to those who have worked a lifetime that we will continue to comply with the legislation so that the pensions to increase from January 1, 2015, according to the law, by 5%,” said Plumb, cited by local Mediafax.
