Metrorex publishes bid announcement for new metro line segment in Bucharest

Bucharest metro company Metrorex has started the bid for the Eroilor – Piata Iancului segment of a new metro line connecting Drumul Taberei neighborhood to the Pantelimon area of the capital city. The value of the contract is of EUR 531 million, according to Metrorex and will be covered through an external loan and from the state budget. The duration of the contract is set for 30 months from when it will be awarded. The new metro line, M5, will connect Drumul Taberei to Pantelimon area of Bucharest. Drumul Taberei is one of the few remaining Bucharest neighborhoods which doesn't benefit from metro connection. editor@romania-insider.com
