Metrorex organizes EUR 12.1 mln consultancy services bid for new Bucharest metro line

Bucharest metro company Metrorex will organize a bid to award a EUR 12.1 million contract for design, technical consultancy, legal and technical assistance to prepare the public private partnership (PPP) project for a new metro line in Bucharest. The bid offers will be opened on March 24, at 11,00 hours, at the Metrorex headquarters. The consultancy contract will cover three years, while the documentation for the PPP is expected to be finalized in nine months. The new metro line, M7, would connect Bragadiru - Alexandriei – Rahova – Piaţa Unirii – Moşilor - Obor – Colentina – Voluntari. The 25-kilometer metro line will have 30 stations and a depot. Metrorex estimates it would take eight years for the new line to be finalized. The new Bucharest metro line will connect neighborhoods Alexandriei – Rahova to the Obor- Colentina area. editor@romania-insider.com
