Metallic tile producer Bilka wants to expand Brasov factory

Metallic tile producer Bilka, owned by Romanian investor Horatiu Tepes, plans to invest EUR 12 million in its local production. This would bring the company’s revenues up to EUR 100 million. The producer is interested to rent some spaces located near its Brasov factory. “We need new production spaces. The spaces available near the factory are in public domain, so we have sent a rental request to local authorities,” said Horatiu Tepes. If the authorities lease the plot, the company aims to reach a turnover of EUR 100 million in the next two years. “If not, we’ll have to temporarily block this project,” Tepes added. Last year, Bilka completed a EUR 10 million investment project started in 2014. The company had sales of EUR 43 million in 2015, and over 100 employees. It more than doubled its indicators compared to 2012, when it posted a turnover of EUR 16.7 million with under 50 employees. editor@romania-insider.com
