Mega Image inaugurates new large format concept store in Bucharest

Retailer Mega Image recently opened its second concept store in Bucharest, at Sudului Square. The shop, which is Mega Image's 253rd unit in Romania, covers over 1,700 sqm on two floors , is close to the Sun Plaza shopping mall. The building, which was developed by the retailer on a 5,200 sqm plot at the crossroad between Oltenitei St and Nitu Vasile St, also features a commercial galleria and office space where the retailer could relocate its headquarters. Similarly to the first concept store under Mega Image brand's opened earlier this year close to Gemeni Square, the new shop sells exotic fruits and vegetables, as well as rare meat, such as black angus or Prussiana aged t-bone, sushi, special cheese and pasta, among others. Mega Image recently opened a new type of store in Bucharest, AB Cool Food concept store, a smaller, 180 sqm shop which sells frozen products. Its other brands in Romania, apart from Mega Image, is Shop & Go, a smaller neighborhood shop format. editor@romania-insider.com
