French car maker Renault prepares for the launch of a low cost car, with a price three times lower than Dacia Logan's, according to a recent article by La Tribune, quoting sources within Renault. The new low-cost car would have a price tag of EUR 2,500 and will sell on emerging markets.
The new, simple car, of small size, would become a competitor of Tata Motor's Nano model. Gérard Detourbet of Renault previously told la Tribune he was working on a car cheaper than Logan and Sandero, which would allow the car maker entry on the popular cars market in Brazil.
