Kaufland to support 15 Romanian farmers in obtaining international certification

German retailer Kaufland, the largest player in the Romanian retail market, together with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank Group, will financially support 15 Romanian vegetable and fruit producers in obtaining the most prestigious international quality and food safety certification, GLOBAL G.A.P. (Good Agricultural Practices). The farmers holding this certification will then be able to export worldwide. Kaufland will start this national program in January 2017. The company will pay the program’s full costs for the 15 farmers. The program is addressed to all the Romanian fruit and vegetable producers who work with Kaufland Romania. editor@romania-insider.com
