Jens Hoesel replaces Mihai Ghyka on Bergenbier CEO seat in Romania

Beer producer StarBev has appointed Jens Hoesel (in picture) general manager of subsidiary Bergenbier in Romania, replacing Mihai Ghyka, who has resigned. Hoesel joins Bergenbier from the Chief Sales Officer position with StarBev, having held the job since December 2010. Previosuly, he had led AB InBev Holland. He holds 16 years of experience in the beer industry, out of which 13 with AB InBev. Check out his CV on LinkedIn. Mihai Ghyka returned to lead StarBev on January 1, 2010, after the beer producer has been bought by investment fund CVC. Ghyka had previously led the beer company, until 2008, when he decided to take a sabbatical. He is the creator of the Bergenbier beer brand in Romania. Bergenbier, active since 1994, currently runs a production unit in Ploiesti and employs 600 people. Its products portfolio includes local brands Bergenbier and Noroc, Stella Artois, Beck's and Löwenbräu. editor@romania-insider.com
