Local developer opens new office building in Western Romania

Local real estate developer Iulius Group has completed a new office building in the Openville Timisoara mixed real estate complex in Timisoara, Western Romania. The building called United Business Center 1 has over 13,000 sqm of office space and is the second office building inaugurated by Iulius in Timisoara this year after UBC 2 in January. United Business Center 1 has 12 floors and a triangular shape. Some of its tenants include international IT service providers Atos and Intel. The building has direct access to the park and the new retail areas that will be set up in the Openville complex. Iulis has delivered 31,000 sqm of office space in the local market this year. The company has started working on the third office building within the Openville Timisoara complex. This will have a rentable area of 19,000 sqm and will be completed next year. Iulius will also start working on the fourth office building in the complex, UBC 0, at the beginning of 2018. This will be the tallest building in Romania, with 155 meters and 27 floors. Iulius has been developing the Openville Timisoara complex around its Iulius Mall shopping center. Earlier this year, the group controlled by Romanian investor Iulian Dascalu partnered with Atterbury Europe to complete this project. editor@romania-insider.com
