Italian investors have acquired a million hectares of agricultural land in Romania since January 1, 2014, when agricultural land purchase by foreign individuals has become legal, according to Andrea Amato, Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “Italian investors […] found great land here, for attractive prices, between EUR 1,500 and EUR 2,000 per hectare,” said Amato, cited by local Capital.
