Israeli president Shimon Peres to visit Romania in August

The president of Israel, Shimon Peres will make an official visit to Romania in August, according to the ambassador of Israel to Bucharest, David Oren. Oren, who attended the second Congress of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania, said this visit will be an opportunity to deepen the bilateral relations between Romania and Israel. Shimon Peres, a Nobel prize for peace laureate in 1994, is the ninth and current President of the State of Israel. During his 66-year political career, Peres served as thePrime Minister of Israel and has been a member of 12 cabinets. He has been the president of Israel since 2007. Shimon Peres, born Szymon Perski in 1923 in Poland, is a Harvard graduate. He has written several books starting the 60s. Among the most well known is Battling for Peace: a memoir, which was published in 1995, a year after Peres got the Nobel prize for Peace.
