Investment fund completes refurbishment of mall in Romania's Craiova

The Mercur shopping center, located in downtown Craiova, will be reopened next week after a modernization process that required an investment of over EUR 12 million. The former commercial spaces gave way to a multiplex cinema, restaurants, and playing areas. Swedish fashion retailer H&M will open a two-floor store in the Mercur mall. The US chain Starbucks will also open a cafe in the Mercur shopping center. It will be its first cafe in Romania’s Oltenia region. The mall, which is owned by local investment fund SIF Oltenia, was closed for refurbishment in September last year. It now covers some 20,000 sqm.
