Industrial producer prices drop by 3.3% in Romania

Industrial producer prices in Romania dropped by 3.3% in February this year compared to February 2015. They also went down by 1% over January this year, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS). In the energy industry, producer prices decreased by 3% compared to January 2016 and by 11.7% compared to February last year. In the intermediary goods industry, the monthly drop reached 0.8% whereas the annual decrease amounted to 3.7%. In the durable goods industry, industrial producer prices went down by 3.2% year-on-year, and by 0.2% compared to the previous month. However, in the capital goods industry, the producer prices went up by 1.9% compared to February 2015 and only had a slight drop compared to January. editor@romania-insider.com
