Hungarian Party in Romania proposes Ritli Ladislau to lead Health Ministry

The Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) has proposed Ritli Ladislau for the position of Health Minister in Romania, according to the Hungarian Party, quoted by Agerpres newswire. Also, after consultations with the Liberal Democratic Party, the coalition members reached a consensus, namely, the National Health Insurance House (CNAS) to be coordinated by the Ministry of Health, according to UDMR. Ritli Ladislau is a doctor based in Oradea. He was born in Oradea in 1948, and graduated Medicine in Timisoara in 1973 as head of the class. Since 2010 he is medical director of the "Dr. Gavril Curteanu" Municipal Hospital in Oradea. Romania’s Health Minister Cseke Atilla resigned earlier this year after the ministry he has been leading did not receive the needed funds to cover all its investment requirements, following the country’s budget revision. Cseke Atilla, a member of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), said he had not been consulted before the budget revision, which was one of the main reasons behind his resignation.
