Hungarian oil and gas group MOL grew its fuel sales in Romania by 1.1 percent in the first half of this year, the group has announced in its recently – released half-year financial results report. “Fuel card sales volumes started to recover in 2011, increasing by 2 percent in H1 2011 vs. H1 2010,” according to the company.
MOL thus reached a 12 percent market share in Romania, according to the company, citing data from the Romanian Oil Association. Intensive promotions brought MOL a growth in shop sales revenues of 10.2 percent, in RON, in the first half of this year, compared to the same period of 2010. At the end of the first six months this year, MOL Romania operated a network of 127 filling stations. MOL spent around EUR 4 million in its network in Romania (HUF 1.1 billion).
