Human rights take center stage at One World Romania Film Festival in Bucharest this week

A total of 50 documentaries on several subjects, such as revolutions, social uprisings, activists and dissenters will be screened during the fifth edition of the One World Film Festival, which will be held between March 13 and March 18, 2012. The festival’s goal is to provide the young Romanian public with a more complex and balanced perspective on human rights issues. The special guest of this edition of One World Romania is Jennifer Fox.

The film screenings will be at four cinemas in Bucharest - Eforie, Union, Corso, and Noul Cinematograf al Regizorului Roman. The documentaries are divided into eight categories, namely Online Revolutions, Between Fear and Freedom, More Pain – No Gain, Growing Up – Growing Old, Washing Our Dirty Laundry, Identity Check, Justice – Butt Naked, Activism Is Stupid? Among the documentaries to be screened during this film festival, there will be several Swiss productions or co-productions, such as ‘Rouge Parole’ or ‘Good Bye Mandima’.
