HP ups turnover by a quarter in Romania

US group Hewlett Packard (HP), which is active in Romania through three companies, posted a turnover of EUR 158.2 million last year, up 25% over 2014. HP Romania, HP INC Romania, and Global e-Business Operations Centre had 3,902 employees in total last year, up from 3,331 in 2014, according to data reported at the Ministry of Finance, cited by local Ziarul Financiar. The largest company in the group E-Business Operations Centre recorded an average number of 2,363 employees, down 532 compared to 2014. Its turnover reached EUR 75.7 million, down 3% year-on-year. HP INC Romania, which was set up last year, saw 1,194 employees and a turnover of almost EUR 20 million. HP Romania had 345 employees and revenues of EUR 65 million, up 27% over the previous year. HP is currently investigated in Romania for charging unjustifiably high fees from Romania’s National Health Insurance House – CNAS for providing the institution with IT services. editor@romania-insider.com
