The five-star boutique hotel Epoque in Bucharest, opened in 2010 after an investment of EUR 8 million, expects to end this year with a turnover of EUR 2 million, up 18% on 2013. In the first nine months of this year, the hotel’s turnover increased by 28% year-on-year, while its revenues amounted to some EUR 1.5 million, reports local Wall-street.ro. Over 75% of Epoque’s guests are foreign tourists who mainly come from the EU, Israel and the US. In January-September, the hotel operated on a 75.2% occupancy rate during weekdays, a 9% increase from the same period last year. During weekends, it had a 65.4% occupancy rate, up 20% year-on-year.
